In this release, we've made some bug fixes and performance improvements
As of this release, we’ve fixed a few bugs that will make it easier to access and interact with stories. We’ve also improved our Talkback accessibility feature on the Manage Regions screen.
As of this release, users will be able to swipe across their screens to move to the next or previous story. For users who don't want to use this feature, they can switch it off in their settings.
In this release, we've upgraded a few of our internal libraries to improve the performance of the app.
Introducing font size adjustment! We’ve added a feature that allows you to increase text size within the app (in the Settings screen). This will allow you to customize your experience to better meet your reading needs. Also, Android 11 users may have had trouble playing YouTube videos, this has now been resolved. And, we fixed a bug that stopped PDF documents from displaying properly in stories.
We've fixed a bug where the system font size wasn't reflected in the app for devices running Android N. We've also upgraded a few of our internal libraries.
We've made some improvements as of this release, including fixing an issue in our onboarding in which TalkBack was announcing elements from a previous screen. Also, previously, people who used TalkBack may have difficulty with the focus for our media onboarding modal -- we've remedied this. We've also done a design refresh on our icons.
In this release we've refreshed the design of our home-screen widget, which now also includes local categories. If you've been using our previous version, you'll have to re-add this new widget to your home-screen.
For tablet users, we've also added an option in the Settings screen to set your feed to be one to two columns wide.
In this release we've fixed a bug with the TalkBack selection on the Saved tab. We've also made various performance improvements.
A new drag and drop function will allow you to order your local news as you like. We're introducing this feature, which you can find in the Manage My Regions screen, thanks to valued audience feedback.

It wasn't always obvious how to sort stories in our local tab so we've simplified the design. A switch at the top now allows you to order stories by time or editors' picks. We’ve made a number of bug fixes and design improvements in this release. Livestreams that haven’t started yet will now be marked ‘Coming Up’. We’ve also added some features that will make saving content and managing your regions more intuitive.
As of this release, the video tab will load faster than before. Also, previously, some links to photogalleries from the lineup weren't loading -- we've fixed this bug.

In this release we've fixed a bug which was causing live video streaming to sometimes stop playing. Also, on Android 10 there was a problem that was causing our notification images to display with inverted colours when the system dark theme was enabled. That problem has now been fixed.
As of this update, you'll now be able to follow the federal election with ease in a new section of the app. Get the latest news, election tools and find podcasts and video all in one place.
We've also added a few other features and fixed a few bugs. When a live stream falls behind, when you've paused or are experiencing poor network connectivity, the stream will now recover from that state better. The appearance of our share tools on articles has also been improved.
We've made a few changes and improvements in this release. Select stories will appear in your feed bundled with related links, allowing you to follow a story with ease. We've also improved the resolution of images you can zoom in on so they'll be crisp and clear.
We've improved the video/audio experience so the app will better handle streaming audio and video when your device has flaky connectivity. We've also fixed a few miscellaneous UI bugs. For example, if you do a search and it yields no results, you'll be made aware of this - previously there was no indication.
New features and improvements:
* You can now zoom in on images in articles and photo galleries.
* In some stories we had links within an article and they wouldn't work. We've fixed that bug.
* Articles with embedded PDFs now open in-app instead of through the website.
* You'll now be able to use the back button to navigate back to the Top Stories section (previously it closed the app).
In this release, we've simplified the sharing of stories. Instead of sharing a story's title, summary, and link, you'll now be sharing just a link to the story. We've also fixed a few miscellaneous bugs to improve that app's stability.

-The app is more stable on phones that don't support Chromecast.
-Stories with very tall images no longer cause the app to crash.
-Sometimes clicking a notification was only leading you to the current story you had open - we've addressed this issue.

-Previously some Android 9 users had trouble opening links -- a fix has been found.
-Email and telephone links in WebViews are now clickable.
-We've shortened the splash screen time so you'll be brought into the app quicker.
-We've sorted out a problem in which some users were seeing duplicate items in their feed.

Our Local section now allows you to sort stories by Editor's picks or Publishing time. We’ve made a fix so we can remember where you were in the lineup when you return to it after reading a story. Your previous queries will appear in the search bar, helping you find what you’re seeking quickly and easily. And we've remedied the persistent "No Internet Connection" message you may have received. As always, we continue to polish and refine our design.
