• Fixed a weather alert being sent repeatedly when you have multiple active weather warnings – so sorry about this one, the fix eventually ended being literally a single character!
• Fixed wrong day/night variation of mostly-clear icon showing sometimes
• Feels like will display in the Next 24 widget/notification when you’ve set your temperature to default to it
• No crash when you add conditions to a custom notification
• Feels like shows on the widgets settings screen when it’s selected as the supplementary data point
• When it’s snowing on a day, precipitation accumulation will appear on a widget if precipitation (intensity) is set as the supplementary data point
• More tweaks for more accurate precipitation intensity reporting
• Potential fix for rare issue of time being out-of-sync, particularly on Foreca users' widgets
• Temperature comparison for Fahrenheit users on Timeline and notifications should be consistent with what’s displayed on the Next 7 Days chart (?)
• Shouldn’t see a string repeated on severe weather alert card/notification
• Text shouldn’t ever get clipped in Next 24 widget/notification in the far right
• Now + Today visual tweaks
• Now + Today’s clock + date are permanent elements, otherwise its layout & structural integrity is compromised
• Potential fix for Foreca users having issues with weather updating reliably in the background
• More tweaks for more accurate precipitation intensity reporting
• When precipitation expected for Foreca users, 15-minute chart should always appear (as opposed to a blank card when you expand it)
• Added setting to hide current location on Now widget (this one is for you Juan Carlos!)
• Temperature comparison with yesterday, whether in-app or a notification, should always be accurate
• Font on widget should be displaying correctly irrespective of phone's system font setting
• Widget shouldn’t run into any issues if supplementary data set wasn’t found
• “Mostly clear” added as a new weather condition, sitting between clear & partly cloudy
• First sprinkle of secret magic sauce to determine precipitation intensity – should more closely match what Dark Sky reports
• Should no longer see a night icon be used for a day – will now prioritise weather after sunrise/before sunset to determine what icon to go with
• Radar FAB now accessible from all screens
• Shouldn’t see summary of rain & dry (second time’s a charm!)
• Major improvements to the radar: premium AerisWeather map layers, better performance, more customisation etc.
• New subscription tier: ⚡Pro (check out the new Store screen's updated FAQ for an explanation on why this new tier was necessary to help improve the radar for *all* subscribers, Plus and Pro)
• OpenWeather now displays precipitation probability & severe weather warnings
And so much more: https://www.thirdculture.app/appyweather/changelist.html
• You can now set precipitation alert conditions, so that you’re only notified if precipitation probability and/or intensity levels meet conditions set
• Precipitation notifications now specify peak probability & intensity within the time the alert covers
• Shouldn’t receive more than 1 precipitation notification every 30 minutes (will be adding controls soon so that you can determine the frequency yourself)
And more: https://www.thirdculture.app/appyweather/changelist.html
• Can receive multiple severe weather alerts
• If you have multiple custom notifications on, they should all be received
• Shouldn’t receive duplicate precipitation alerts
• Foreca widgets showing incorrect time after updating in background
• More optimisations to improve reliability of precipitation notification alerts
• Summary text of hourly range, such as on Later card in-app or widgets, will more precisely reflect the weather during the period
• Shouldn’t receive a precipitation notification describing weather that isn’t precipitation is about to start
• No weather summary should state the primary weather followed by an ampserand denoting a secondary weather exists but then blank e.g. "Drizzle & ."
• For Android 8/9 users, based on feedback, if your widget foreground setting is “System” then it will now default to light text for your Now widgets as I presume darker backgrounds are more common.
• Default widget foreground setting for new installs changed to “Light” for similar reasons. Keep in mind, when it's set to “System”, the text colour may automatically change based on system settings such as toggling Dark Mode/Battery Saver. If you never want it to change, pick either Light/Dark.
