The BANKILY product is a mobile banking product from the Banque Populaire de Mauritanie.

With a banking rate of around 18%, the Banque Populaire de Mauritanie is moving towards Mobile Banking in order to encourage financial inclusion in Mauritania. The advent of this mobile product comes to support the measures undertaken by the Central Bank within the framework of the demonetization and the modernization of the means of payment. BPM's Mobile Banking was designed and developed by an expert company and leader in the international market.
Bankily, a registered trademark, inspires the action of “banking” money, “sending” money or paying with your mobile phone, smartphone or basic. The product is accessible via the BANKILY application developed by the Banque Populaire de Mauritanie or via the USSD codes of partner operators. The Bankily Product offers the possibility of opening and managing a bank account via a mobile phone. It gives access to other features such as money transfer, merchant payment, payment of electricity, water or internet bills and instant phone credit recharging. The product aims to make the opening of a bank account accessible to all Mauritanian residents regardless of their geographical location and purchasing power.

The Bankily network is made up of agents representing the Bankily brand by opening a physical point aimed at managing transactions for deposits, withdrawals, sending and receiving money instantly. A network of Bankily branches is emerging in the country's wilayas to recruit a number of agents in the targeted geographical area.

As part of the payment of merchants via the Bankily product, a large network of merchants of goods and services will make the Bankily payment method available to their customers in their store. These merchants then become approved by the Bankily brand.
