On 4 January 1999, Sportstudio Body Action opened its doors. We started in 'de Nieuwe Schans', but soon we grew out of our jacket and decided to move to 'De Ark' in October. We had a good time there for years, but because there were various associations in the building, and everyone could walk in and out, we wanted a building for ourselves.
This became the Emmastraat. A large and beautiful building where we had to renovate a lot. But here too the number of members increased again and we were soon too big for this building. The search for a different location was very difficult because there are simply no large buildings in Rozenburg. But because we came into discussion with the Plus and happened to mention that we wanted a larger building, and also wanted to expand, the Plus came with an option for the shed that had been vacant for several years.
We went to see immediately and fell in love with the shed with its old doors, windows and authentic look. However, there was a lot to be done if we wanted to make something beautiful out of this. Fortunately Ronald and I can see through it and knew that it was possible.
The shed is large enough to add fitness to the group lessons that we already give. Something we wanted to do for a very long time. We are therefore larger now, therefore the new name: Body Action XL.
We are very happy that we finally found a suitable location and we hope to work with pleasure. And that our members can of course enjoy sports with a lot of fun.
