Not everyone has a phone with an NFC reader. With the DigiD CheckID app you help someone add the ID check to their DigiD app. Your phone only performs the one-time ID check. Your own DigiD login details are not required for this. No data is stored on your phone. More information at: https://www.digid.nl/id-check
DATA PROCESSING & PRIVACY
With the DigiD CheckID app you can perform a one-off check of an identity document for someone else. The check takes place by reading the chip on the Dutch driving license or identity document using the NFC reader on your device. The CheckID app reads out the document number, validity and date of birth of an identity card, or the driving license number of a driving licence. This data is sent via a secure connection to the DigiD app for which the ID check is performed. The CheckID app does not process any data from the device on which it is installed for this check.
Additional conditions:
• The user is responsible for the security of his mobile device.
• Updates for the CheckID app can be downloaded and installed automatically via the app store. These updates are intended to improve, enhance or further develop the app and may include bug fixes, advanced features, new software modules or completely new versions. Without these updates, it is possible that the app will not function properly or not at all.
• Logius reserves the right to (temporarily) stop offering the CheckID app in the app store or to (temporarily) stop the operation of the app without stating reasons.
