Fun.day is an app for parents to have fun family experiences. Discover activities that are tailored to their kids based on their own interests, preferences, and age. Starting with New York we match hundreds of activities to parents and help them to plan fun days full of variety of activities.

As parents navigate through the selection of activities and provide feedback on whether their kids would like them or not, we will customize the feed based on preferences.

With the app, local parents, as well as parents who plan their next trip with their kids, can plan fun days for their families within minutes and share their plans with their friends.

While we know that there are so many destinations in the world for planning fun days, we needed to start with one city at a time, and what a great city we are starting with!

DISCOVERY OF FUN ACTIVITIES BY LOCAL PARENTS AND TOURISTS
Parents can use our service to find fun activities in the city. Simply download the app and start scrolling through the many activities we recommend to parents. You can click on each activity to see more details, including family attributes such as recommended ages for the activity, the recommended spend time and the sentiment.

Our key family attributes are activity category and activity setup. The activity categories describe what the kids are going to do. And we have dozens of different fun categories that will help parents to discover relevant activities even faster. In the challenge category for example, we have options such as ‘Catch-and-release fishing’, ‘Climb on a rock wall’, ‘Do an obstacle course’, and many more.

Other than this, we also grouped them based on the following key categories: ‘Challenge’, ‘Learn’, ‘Play’, ‘Explore’, ‘Do Sports’, ‘Eat’, ‘Shop’ and ‘Watch’. Parents can literally find any type of fun activities that they kids would like to do.

The other key family property is the setup of the activity. There are so many different setups within a place and it’s important for parents to understand how the activity is delivered. We came up with different setup types, such as: ‘Exhibit’, ‘Gaming Space’, ‘Bagel Shop’, ‘Live Show’, ‘In the Air’, ‘Bike Tour’, ‘Walking Tour’, and many more. We believe that this is something that is important to parents to understand when they are planning fun days with their kids.

We recommend on scrolling through the activities for experiencing the discovery process to the fullest, and like or dislike activities for telling us what your kids would like to do. We also added 4 types of filters. You can filter based on your kids ages and key categories. You can also click from any activity in the feed on the activity setup attribute or the category attribute to be able to select other setups or categories. This will narrow your selection based on your filter criteria, and you will then need to reset the filters to return to the feed with all the fun activities.

SHARING FUN ACTIVITIES
Share activities with your friends and family. This will help you to start a conversation about where to go and when. You can simply click on the sharing icon at the bottom of each activity. The sharing text will include the title of the activity, the photo, and a link to the app. You can also share a collection of activities on a map. Simply save the activities you like, and then from the saved activities screen, select the map tab and share the map with your friends and family.

WE ARE LASER FOCUSED ON PARENTS
Fun.day was created for parents who are looking to spend quality time with their families. We were working on the key viable features to help parents to quickly discover the activities they wouldn’t find without us. While we know that the existing features are still simple, we have so many projects on the way, and we plan to release them soon.
