Currently, access to IATA Travel Pass is by invitation only. Please enter the invitation code given to you by your airline once inside the app.
Using IATA Travel Pass, passengers are able to:
• Create a secure digital version of their passport that stays on their mobile device
• Input their flight details to learn of travel restrictions and requirements
• Receive verifiable credentials and a confirmation that they meet all travel requirements for their journey.
To re-open borders without quarantine and restart aviation, airlines and governments need to be confident that they are effectively mitigating the risk of transmission of disease. This means having up to date information on passengers’ health status. The IATA Travel Pass is a digital platform for passengers which allows airlines and governments to do this.
It allows passengers to find accurate information on travel, testing and vaccine requirements for their journey. Authorised labs and test centres can then send the results to each passenger in a verifiable, safe and private way. Passengers can also scan health certificate QR code from 34 countries with many more to come across the globe.
While many governments accept electronic presentation of test and vaccine certificate on a mobile device, only a few endorse specific solutions publicly, but we are working with them to communicate more broadly about it. The government of Australia and Panama officially endorse IATA Travel Pass and we are sure more will follow this path.
The app is available worldwide for use.
IATA Travel Pass is based on 'Self-sovereign identity', giving the passenger complete control over their data. It gives each passenger a digital wallet to store all of their travel documentation - including biometric passports - and choose who to share it with.
