Corrected gtts/min value display.
Minor update to correct text sizing in buttons.
New in version 2.14: Better text sizing for buttons and labels to accommodate smaller screens.
V2.10: Allow decimal numbers in patient weight, adds Grams as a weight measurement option.
V2.00: Single-screen entry and results, volume-over-time calculations, single-dose draw calculations.
Changes for version 1.4:Some internal coding changes; fixed ML/HR rounding.Changes for version 1.3:Consolidated into two screens, ditched the finger-slide panels (it was cranky on some devices). Hopefully a better fit for newer device screens.
This is an IV drip rate calculator for paramedics and nurses. Most of the features of this app are available on modern pumps - but modern pumps aren't always available.
Add a drug amount in mg, mcg, grams or units to a volume of fluid, select the dose ordered, and voila! The ml/hour necessary to deliver that dose is displayed. All parameters MUST be verified prior to infusion! However, if you accidentally enter an incorrect parameter, you may back-screen to correct it without having to re-enter each piece of data.
Also, drug manufacturers and distributors sometimes change their concentrations, therefore this program will NOT let you simply enter "Amiodarone" and perform all the calculations for you.
This is BetterWare (for lack of a better term) - if you think of any way to make it better, please share it with me so I can share it back with everyone.
Thanks!
