In the app, children can immerse themselves in the lovingly designed world of snippets. Together with Kikaninchen they go on exciting tours of discovery and design snippets on the farm, invent adventurous vehicles and try them out or watch their favorite programs from the KiKANiNCHEN television program.

The app does not see itself as a game, but rather as a versatile toy and companion: playful discovery and trying out, stimulating and fun games without time pressure, creative design and making music are in the foreground. An app that grows with the child and that the child can grow on - without ads or content that scares preschoolers or overwhelms them.

The KiKANiNCHEN app is an offer for app beginners, which is based on the level of development and the needs of young media beginners. The offer was developed in close cooperation with media educators in order to offer children a safe space in which they can gain their first experience of using apps. The app's text-free and easy-to-use controls are ideal for preschoolers aged three and up.


There is a lot to discover:

- 4 games,
- 6 mini-games,
- target group-specific and changing video offerings from the public television offerings of ARD, ZDF and KiKA,
- lovingly and variedly designed worlds: under water, in space, in the forest, on a treasure island, on a pirate ship etc.

The (media) educational background:

The KiKANiNCHEN app wants to pick up preschool children from where they are in their individual stage of development. They are supported according to their needs without overtaxing them. The focus of the app is on these areas:

- Promoting creativity through exploratory experimentation, research and design,
- Play and fun without being overwhelmed or pressed for time,
- Conveying self-confidence for one's own actions,
- Promoting media skills,
- Training attention and the ability to concentrate .
