Google has deprecated Google Cloud Messaging. This version moves to Firebase Messaging and fixes a few issues caused by other recent Google API changes.
Previous versions of LANNouncer will stop working soon, probably around end-of-May 2019, when Google shuts down GCM. Consequently, this is a mandatory update.
If you have Premium, ensure "Enable GCM" (still called that) is on, rather than "No IFTTT Support", or the additional slots will not display.
Fixes a few bug fixes, removes outdated features to comply with new security requirements.
1. Restores Android 5 (Lollipop) support. With fewer crashes.
2. Removes SMS action triggering.
3. GCM is the only external protocol now. WAN removed for reliability and security.
Local IP access is still enabled, so you can control LANNouncer within your network still.

This has no user-facing impact unless you were using SMS to control LANNouncer. In recent polls, nobody was.
There are no bug fixes or other changes.
Adapts to new Privacy Policy requirements, adds SSL to server communications, and raises minimum SDK Level per recent Google requirements. Older devices may no longer be supported.
This imposes a change in how permissions are handled. Please exercise all functions and respond to permission requests before leaving LANNouncer unattended.

LANnouncer runs in the background, listening on LAN (local), SMS or GCM (Google Cloud Messaging) to announce events from your home automation system. LANnouncer supports TTS (text-to-speech), so that events can be fully spoken, plus a few basic alarms, strobes and text notifications. It can also take photos or prepare them from local IP cameras.
Alone, LANnouncer isn't very valuable. But with the help of a Home Automation System, IFTTT recipes or scripts, it can bring events to life.
