Latvian Radio's free listening fairy tale app is the largest fairy tale library, where more than 400 fairy tales are available. There is no age limit for them, however, they are especially suitable for children aged 2 to 8 years. Audio fairy tales enrich the language of young listeners, develop imagination and creativity, and allow them to take a break from visual stimuli, which is especially important in today's digital age. Fairy tales develop children's thinking and the ability to express emotions, as well as create a safe environment in which to learn to better understand the world around them and moral principles. It is valuable to listen to fairy tales together with the children in order to then pronounce what is happening in them, explain the meaning of what they heard to the child and create unforgettable memories of the time spent together.
Fairy tales of different nations and authors are available in the app, covering the widest range of topics - from animals and various mythical characters to the adventures of princesses and kings. Tales of miracles can also be heard, which will unleash the ability to believe in the impossible in younger listeners. Tales are told by legendary voices on the air of Latvian Radio, including Sandra Glāzupa, Gunārs Jākobsons and Maestro Raimonds Paul himself, popular actors - Artūrs Skrastiņš, Zane and Vilis Mādņiņi, Harijs Spanovskis, Rūdolfs Plēpis, Vera Singajevska, athletes - Martins Dukurs, Artūrs Irbe, Harijs Vītoliņš, as well as artists and other respected personalities in society, including Vaira Vīķe-Freiberga, Julgī Stalte and others.
The fairy tales app of Latvian Radio is easy to use and safe even for the smallest listeners. Tales can be searched by author, title, narrator or category. You can add your favorite fairy tales to the favorites list so that you can listen to them repeatedly.
