For an overview of OpenManage Mobile, please view: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zoAzHI_gykk
Note that some OMM features will vary by what is being accessed (iDRAC, MX7000 or OpenManage Enterprise), how it is being accessed (over the network or via Quick Sync 2) and the PowerEdge server model number.
OpenManage Mobile now offers more features to securely provision and monitor PowerEdge servers and MX7000 chassis.
MX7000: View health overlays for the back of chassis when in Augmented Reality mode. Also, assign backup lead chassis (for lead redundancy).
Security: Verify CA certificates from iDRAC automatically.
Convenience: Remotely perform a full power cycle on a server. (It is the equivalent of physically detaching and attaching the power cable
Now use Augmented Reality to easily and quickly monitor & troubleshoot MX7000 modular chassis. Aim the camera at MX7000, connect, and view health overlays. Tap on a component to view details.
Additionally, with OpenManage Mobile:
- Monitor, troubleshoot and provision PowerEdge servers and MX7000 – either Remotely (over management network) or in datacenter (with wireless Quick Sync 2 module)
- Receive alert notifications from OpenManage Enterprise / Essentials consoles
• Access the latest MX7000 modular infrastructure – Anytime, Anywhere – to monitor and troubleshoot the entire group of chassis (up to 20) and sleds
• For easier troubleshooting, view the Support Assist Collection (SAC) report on the mobile device itself, or easily upload it to Dell support backend
• As part of MX7000 modular infrastructure deployment from OpenManage Mobile, now you can also define lead chassis and group settings
• Access OpenManage Enterprise 3.0 console and manage Dell EMC PowerEdge servers, Chassis, Storage, Networking, Firewall appliances and any other supported third party appliances that are being managed through this console. Receive alert notifications automatically on your mobile device.
