The title that Steve McCurry has chosen for his new project, "Passionate Umbria - ceraioli of Gubbio", interprets better than many other considerations in the deep sense of the link between our community and the Corsa dei Ceri. On May 15, every year marks the calendar of the region as an appointment that no one of us near or far from Umbria can forget. Choosing more than forty years ago - the Ceri di Gubbio as the emblem of the Umbria Region was a happy decision that gave us the symbol of a shared identity of Umbria of which we feel jealous guardians. Our first objective is precisely to transmit the value of this heritage to the new generations. We really feel "passionate about Umbria", with the same strength and determination of the "ceraioli of Gubbio", to work for the future of our region. We have many reasons for doing so, one of the most important of all: the commitment to an ever better Umbria.
