Roo Kids is a fun messaging app for kids with minimum yet critical parental controls.
The two biggest concerns parents have are strangers sneaking in and chatting with their kids and kids chatting when they should be doing their homework. 'Roo Kids Chat App' addresses these concerns directly.
SAFETY
A parent creates the kid's account and gets to choose the kid’s username.
On 'Roo Kids Chat App', the parent is notified when a kid adds a new user to their contact list. The parent can remove or permanently block a user. Kids can report abusive messages or users. Parents can take further action on their kid’s reports and report the abusive user to Roo Kids, at which point we will delete the offending user's account.
CURFEW
Parents can set 'Curfew Time' during which the live chat will not work.
PRIVACY
We do not request, collect, or guess your geo-location. As soon as the instant message is delivered, it is removed from our servers. We may retain offline messages till they are delivered. Once delivered, they are removed from our server. We do not sell or trade your personal information.
COOL CHAT FRIENDS
We have some cool friends for you to chat with while your friends join you on Roo Kids Chat App. Meet Echo: sends back any message, sketch or photo you send it. A simple way to explore the app's capabilities. Meet Puzzle: sends you a puzzle to solve. You can always ask for the answer too. More such cool and educational friends are coming soon.
SECURITY
All information (username, password, messages, etc.) is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology. This is the same technology used by banks and online e-commerce websites. Anyone 'tapping' into your network cannot read passwords or the messages being exchanged.
