This is an exciting new release and here’s why:
- Fixed that elusive full screen bug!
- Enhanced the downloading experience to make offline viewing and downloading that much better
- Home screen talk list no longer loses scroll position
- “My talks” also no longer loses scroll position
- Playlists are now sorted by most recently updated

We’ve updated the player controls in the notification drawer to make it easier for you to play talks when your screen is locked. Hope you've been enjoying background playback!
We have a very exciting update: talks will now continue to play in the background when your device is locked or when the app is minimized, so you can continue to listen to talks with the screen off. You can turn this off in Settings.
Also, we've fixed some issues with rotating the video player, and are now displaying subtitles above the controls bar.
Finally, we've optimized the video player code, so if you see any issues, please report them to contact+android@ted.com.
