The Fujente Tradition Association is a combination of two key words from the city of San Severo (FG):
- Tradition, that is, the passage over time of memories of popular and historical events, customs, religious and folkloristic customs, superstitions and tales;
- Fujente i.e. he who “Fuj” (local dialect term meaning “runs”). This word became part of the Sanseverese lexicon only a few decades ago when the term was associated with the runners of the pyrotechnic batteries, set on fire mainly during the solemn celebrations in honor of Maria SS del Soccorso, patron saint of the city.
And it is precisely from the union of these two words that the name of the Association was conceived which means a "running tradition", a tradition that ran, a tradition that will run and will never stop doing so in order to safeguard it and pass it down , for the good of the city and its inhabitants.
The Fujente Tradition Association was therefore born to safeguard what has been handed down in order to preserve it and share it with future generations so that what has been the history of the city remains as such and is increasingly enriched, writing new pages of history. Sanseverese encyclopedia.
