New Groups and Settlements in Vipps!
- The tab that used to be called Settlements is now Groups.
- You can now make groups with friends you normally split expenses with.
- We have heard you loud and clear, and finally Vipps will send out notifications to all members when a settlement is ready to settle. And even better, you can now send a friendly reminder when someone still owes you.

Now the receipt shows the items purchased when you pay with a shopping basket.
We’ve made it easier for sellers to verify that your payment to their Vippsnummer was successful and legit. We’ve added an animated control picture with today’s emoji and a timestamp for the payment. The picture shows up when a payment is completed and can be accessed from the receipt in the app.

Kill your darlings. Not all Vipps Mobile users were happy with our toggle button for changing modes. That's why we have changed it so you can choose from a list of GB levels ...and who knows, maybe a few other levels might pop up in the list soon. We hope you like it.

Vipps uses the system settings on your phone to determine light/dark mode, but you can also switch between modes in the app settings.

Hi, I’m Vipps! A very, very easy app for paying between people and to businesses. Vippsing is safe and done in a flash, just the way it should be.
With Vipps, you can:
• send and request money
• receive money
• check your balance
• schedule gifts wrapped in digital gift paper
If you’re over 15, you can also:
• pay online, in-store, and to organisations
• pay your bills
• set up recurring payments
• create settlements to find out who owes who
• join customer clubs and get benefits directly in Vipps
To use Vipps you need BankID, a Norwegian phone number, a Norwegian bank card, a Norwegian bank account, and an email address. Are you under 15? Then it’s enough with just a Norwegian phone number and a Norwegian bank account.
It’s always free to pay businesses, and it’s free to vipps to private persons up to 5000 NOK. If you vipps more than 5000 NOK to the same person within 24 hours, it costs 1% of the amount you vipps.
Vipps is available in Norwegian, English, Danish, Swedish, and Finnish.
