The application "Foreign Assistant" is intended for interaction of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia with Russian citizens abroad, their informing about the forecasted or occurred emergency situations in the host country. In addition, the application allows you to access the necessary background information on countries, Russian Foreign Ministry institutions abroad and other useful information.
Main features of the application:
- Telephone communication with the Situation and Crisis Center of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (an opportunity to make a call or order a return call).
- Registration of stay abroad. This information is necessary for the Russian Foreign Ministry to more effectively respond to emergency and crisis situations in which Russian citizens abroad may be affected, in particular, for sending emergency notifications to users.
- Viewing of news, statements of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia and emergency notifications (including with reference to the map of the locality) about the forecasted and emerged emergency situations, recommended actions.
- Express delivery of SMS-messages about an emergency situation to selected numbers. It is carried out by means of the application interface (the list of contacts of relatives and friends, which the user wishes to notify, is compiled by him in advance).
- The notification of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia about an emergency situation, the witness of which is the user.
The app contains useful information available offline:
- Directory of Russian overseas institutions (with addresses, telephones, reception time), with the possibility of displaying them on an interactive map and performing searches closest to the user.
- Reference information about foreign countries (general information, the procedure for entry / exit, visa regime, sanitary and epidemiological situation, personal safety standards and recommendations regarding the characteristics of behavior, clothing style, laws).
- Useful advice for travelers abroad (preparing for a trip, processing documents, legal guide, ways to avoid unpleasant incidents during a trip).
- Rules of conduct in emergency situations (actions in case of loss of the passport, arrest, at natural disasters, etc.).
