Please read the user manual of the blood glucose meter carefully before using it for the first time!
The purpose of the free, Hungarian-language DKP application is to enable you to easily monitor and record your blood sugar values, as well as the amount of insulin and carbohydrates you have taken, in the application downloaded to your mobile phone.
Receiving data from the Accu-Chek Instant device:
Before using the Accu-Chek Instant device with the DKP mobile application, the blood glucose meter must be paired with the phone.
The blood glucose meter can only be paired with 1 device at a time. Pairing with a second device overwrites the first pairing. The blood glucose meter and the device to be paired must be within 1 meter of each other. When the blood glucose meter is switched off, the (on) button must be held down for a long time until the Bluetooth symbol appears on the device. Pairing and the wireless symbol will then appear and flash.
You can then launch the DKP mobile app on your phone and select to sync your data from the Accu-Chek Instant in the pop-up window. You must then enable the necessary accesses, then enter the six-digit PIN code on the back of the blood glucose meter to pair. If the pairing is successful, the text OK will appear on the blood glucose meter. The DKP application then desynchronizes the measurements from the blood glucose meter.
In the case of certain telephone devices, the communication (Bluetooth connection) with the blood glucose measuring device may still be slow after pairing, so much so that the blood glucose meter closes the connection first, so the blood glucose data does not appear immediately in the DKP application, only after the application is restarted. It is no longer necessary to restart the application for the next measurement, the data will appear in the application immediately after submission.
Each time the DKP mobile application is started – upon arriving at the home screen – it attempts to desynchronize the new data on the blood glucose meter. For this, the blood glucose meter and the Bluetooth mode must be switched on.
Features of the application:
Main screen:
In the upper part of the main screen (Measurements menu item/Recording and Display submenu), you can view the average of the measurements of the last 7/14/30/90 days, and the total number of measurements below the averages. Here you can see the daily blood sugar, insulin and carbohydrate values in a graphical representation.
Discounts:
Instant discounts are available in the app for registered users.
Interesting contents:
Registered users can read useful and interesting articles in the Interesting contents menu item on the topics of Lifestyle change, Risks, Eating and Life with diabetes, and in the Recipes menu item they can choose from a number of recipes in three categories: Appetizer/Main course/Dessert.
Settings:
Under the Settings (gear) icon, in the My Profile menu item, you can enter your personal data and set password protection. You can also calculate your body mass index (BMI).
Registered users have the option to export (iCloud or file), import and delete their uploaded data; you can also activate/enable synchronization with your Accu-Chek Instant blood glucose meter. After enabling, movement data can also be synchronized from Apple Health or Fitbit.
----------
Please note that the DKP application is neither a medical aid nor a medical device, so it does not provide health advice or guidance on the treatment of diabetes. The app cannot be used to diagnose diabetes and is not a substitute for a consultation with your doctor. When using the application, always seek the opinion of your doctor and avoid making independent decisions about your medical condition when using it.
