‘K Weather’s air pollution information application, “AirGuard K”


provides live air quality information provided by the Korea Environment Corporation and K Weather’s own air pollution forecast.
In addition, you can easily check detailed atmospheric information through broadcasts produced by K-Weather's own forecasts, such as air pollution forecasts and lifestyle forecasts.

• My local weather
   - Supports up to 5 additional my local functions and provides live weather information and today/tomorrow forecasts for the selected area.

• My Area Air
   - Supports the addition of up to 5 My Areas and provides actual air condition information and today/tomorrow forecasts for the selected area.

• National atmospheric forecast
   - K-Weather's independent forecast provides a two-day forecast of fine dust / ultrafine dust / yellow dust / ozone / ultraviolet rays in 17 regions across the country. Additionally, you can check more detailed waiting information through notices issued twice a day.

• Air Guard K observation information
   - You can check the observation information measured by K-Weather OAQ station.

• National observation information
   - You can check the nationwide integrated air environment / fine dust / ozone status provided by the Korea Environment Corporation.
   - You can check information from 317 measurement stations across the country at a glance through the map.

• Broadcast
  - You can watch air pollution forecast broadcasts and lifestyle forecasts produced by K-Weather.

  - My K feature has been added for AirGuard K IAQ Station users.
    1. Indoor observation information: The six indoor environmental pollution factors measured by the IAQ Station - temperature, humidity, fine dust, CO2, VOCs, and noise - are provided as measured values ​​/ index values ​​and action tips are presented accordingly.

    2. Integrated Indoor Comfort Index: This is an expression method developed considering the impact of various factors on the human body and perceived pollution level in the indoor environment. An index is calculated by applying weights to the six factors observed indoors according to the extent to which they affect comfort, and action tips for improving the indoor environment are presented.

    3. Indoor/Outdoor Comparison: Compare and analyze the current indoor observation values ​​measured by IAQ Station and the real-time outdoor observation values ​​provided by K-Weather for the three factors of fine dust, temperature, and humidity to create an optimal indoor environment. We provide solutions.

    4. Local forecast: This is a forecast function provided by K-Weather. It provides various atmospheric forecasts for fine dust, temperature/overview, humidity, and precipitation to help with systematic indoor environment management.

   5. Personalized push notification: In addition to the basic push notifications for contaminants, a personalized notification function is included where the individual directly determines the notification level. This allows users to receive personalized push notifications based on their individual preferences and health conditions.


▶ Frequently Asked Questions
• Please tell me about app access rights.
    1) Device ID and call information (required access rights)
     - Among the two items above, at K Weather, we do not receive 'call information' and only use 'device ID'. Device ID information is necessary for the push service (notification function). Just as you need to know your home address to send a letter, you need to know the device ID to send a push, so we check the device ID information.
Call information is displayed during the process of obtaining the device ID, but please be advised that K-Weather does not use or verify call information separately.


    2) Device and app history (required access permission)
     - If you look at the device and app history, it says that the AirGuard K app allows one or more of the following: ① device activity information, ② running apps, ③ Internet activity records, and ④ bookmarks. AirGuard The K app checks ② the running app among these four. This is to check whether push is on while the AirGuard K app is currently running, or whether push is on while the app is turned off. Please note that when the AirGuard K app is turned off, the app should not be turned on when a push is received, so please check the information.


    3) ID (required access permission)
     - Similar to item 1, check 'Device ID' to send a push.


    4) Location (required access permission)
     - Used to search for current location within the AirGaurd K app. It is not stored separately on the server and is only checked when searching for the current location.


    5) Photos/media/files (required access rights)
     - Among the three items, only 'files' are used, not photos/media. This is used to save the region setting/notification setting information entered by the user as a file.


• I can’t see the soft keys at the bottom of the screen/I can’t quit the app.
    On terminals released by LG Electronics, soft keys may not be visible. If you swipe upward from the bottom of the screen or swipe down from the top clock area, the soft key at the bottom will appear again, so please keep this in mind when using the service.
