Built by the Duke Francis II and his daughter Anne of Brittany in the heart of the medieval district of Nantes, this castle is home to a ducal tufa stone palace which contrasts with its whiteness and refinement with the roughness of the outer walls. Five companions: a soldier of the Duke of Brittany Francis II, a lady companion of Anne of Brittany, an English prisoner, a musketeer of Louis XIV and a narrator accompany you in your discovery of the history of this fortified palace. They draw your attention to architectural details. As you visit the castle, guiding photos help you to orient yourself outside and in the rooms of the castle.
